Breathtaking Organic Balloon Arches

I have a confession, the phrase balloon arch never really excited me...until now!  In my mind it makes me think of the old school dance arches and balloon backdrop decor.

Today, balloon arches are simply breathtaking.  They are on the same caliber as a fresh floral arch in my opinion.  The balloon arches I'm swooning over are specifically known as organic balloon arches.  Unlike the traditional form of balloon arches, with uniform balloon sizes and shape, the organic balloon arches have various sizes of balloons and extra elements added.  Take a look at the unique ways organic balloon arches are giving that wow factor every event planner, or party hostess, is striving to achieve.

In addition the the various balloon sizes creating an organic look, the frame of the arch is organic as it isn't uniform.  In the ice cream cart picture, the arch is in front of the cart, behind the cart, and on top of the cart.  While the ice cream cart was a cute touch for a dessert table, the balloons are the sprinkles on top! Sprinkles are always the best part!!!!!

Just when you think it can't get any better, someone starts adding greenery and floral elements to the arch.  EEEK!!!!  Even the simplest of tables, like the ones below,  are transformed into a dramatic focal point of a party.

Some people may be wondering, if these arches are reserved only for a girly party.  Guurrllll, some of the boy theme parties were just as jaw dropping.  This adorable hot air balloon baby boy shower is so dreamy.  The organic balloon arch brings the table to life the table with the effect of clouds.

A staple for any boy party is a Super Hero Party at least once in their life.  Imagine a super hero birthday party, with Spiderman, which is a balloon, greeting your guests at the door upon this awesome arch.

The possibilities are endless with the organic approach to balloon arches.  It is my newest obsession and I try to incorporate it into every party in some way.  Have you tried making one yet?  I'd love to see your creations.  Comment below!

Monster High Birthday Party!

Have an October birthday girl? Or does she just love the Monster High characters? Either way, we have some awesome ideas to throw your own fabulously freaky Monster High party!

Decorations:

You can create fancy chair covers with zebra table runner cut in half for each chair. Adorn each runner with a black and pink boa and print out Monster High skull logos to pin to each boa.

This awesome sign should hang from your front door to let guests know where the Monster High fun is taking place!

Stick with the black and pink theme for tables and decorations. You can create your own puff balls with black and pink tissue paper and secure to the ceiling.

Personalize your own birthday signs with your child's name!

Party Food:

Create the perfect Monster High cakes with your own dolls. Create the dress with cake and icing!

Or create a cake using the colors and zebra pattern and the logo at the top.

Fill a dish with Hershey's kisses in colorful wrappers and label them Cupid's Kisses!

Make your own cupcakes and use Monster High character logos for the tops.

Fill a glass with bright blue kool-aid and label it Lagoona Blue Sea Water

Regular taco salad can be Toralei's Taco Salad for your party.

Dirt pudding made out of chocolate pudding, Oreos and gummy worms are Frankie's Fun Pudding for your guests.

Wrap utensils in colorful napkins and use Halloween plastic vampire teeth to hold the napkins together.

Party Fun:

Customize your party favors with your daughter's name and age on the label of a body spray and then name the spray, "Cotton Candy Monster Mist"or "Spectra's Spectacular Spray" to keep with the theme.

Create student ID cards for each guest. Each guest will have her own Monster High character on her card and her name personalized on it as well!

Set up a Claw Painting station for your little monsters and set out plenty of nail files, polish colors and decorating tools.

Use black cardboard coffin shaped boxes to pass out candy or other party favors in. Wrap the boxes in colorful ribbon and adorn with the Monster High logo.

Create your very own Monster High case like the dolls come in! Each guest can dress up as her favorite and take a polaroid of her in the case for her to take home.

My Little Pony Party

What better way to show your little girl how amazing her birthday is than with a My Little Pony Party! Bring out all of the pink, rainbows, clouds, sparkles and magic you can find :)

Party Decorations

Create a whimsical party setting with rainbow and cloud balloons throughout the party area.

Rainbow-colored table center pieces will make your party tables pop.

Create your own party snack table with bright colors, various balloons, a My Little Pony backdrop and a bouquet of bright flowers in the center.

Each of your guest tables can have a color/pony theme. For example: If one table is blue, then the pony that represents that table would be Rainbow Dash. The decorations for that table are blue with the rainbow lightening bolt and cloud monogram.
If the guest table is the yellow table then the pony mascot for that table is Fluttershy. This pony is yellow and all of the decorations should be bright and may include a bouquet of yellow daisies.

Another easy idea for a My Little Pony centerpiece, is one you can easily make yourself. The $1 section at Target has colorful, plastic Chinese food-style boxes that can be your base. Fill the box with streamers and something heavy to hold boxes to table. Print out large cut outs of ponies and possibly the age of your child to glue to colorful sticks that pop out of the box centerpieces.

Party Food:

Mott's Apple Juice is now Sweet Apple Acres Apple Juice!

Here are two examples of cake ideas for your party! You can add ponies to the top of your cake or do a simple rainbow design.

Colorful treats are best for your party food table. Fill cups with bright fruits like raspberries, mandarin orange slices and kiwi slices. Surround the cups with rainbow marshmallows to make the table pop.

Label a bowl of skittles "Pony Vitamins."

Every aspect of your My Little Pony Party should be bright, colorful and most of all sweet. A creative spin on caramel apples is to dip them in various colors of icing and then dip the ends in rainbow sprinkles.

Create your own rainbow cupcakes! Use your favorite flavor of cupcake mix and ice the cupcakes a light blue sky color. Create white puffy looking clouds with white icing and use multi-color rainbow sour belts candy as the rainbow atop your cupcake.

Another cute idea for your party table is to dip pink wafers in white icing and cover in rainbow sprinkles.

Invites:

Games:

An awesome way to create a game for the kids to get their party tutus is to make a balloon popping game. Make your one brightly colored balloon popper wand out of plastic, ribbon and feathers. Place a different number in each balloon. Each little girl gets to pop one balloon and get her number from inside. Her number corresponds with a color tutu which prevents the kids from fighting over which color tutu they want. The girls get to take home their tutus!

A My Little Pony themed guessing game! Have guests use their magic to guess how many jellybeans are in a jar.

Rainbow Dash's Hoof Decorating Parlor! The girls can paint their nails in fun, rainbow colors at a nail polish station.

Face Paint Station!

Party Favors:

My Little Pony medal necklaces are a fun party favor for guests!

Create rainbow hats for guests out of tule and glue on round pieces of construction paper. Draw on each guest's name with a sparkly paint pen.
