BLAST OFF With A Space Birthday Party

The dream career of many little boys and girls is that of an astronaut. Let them indulge this whim by throwing them the best space themed birthday party you can muster up.

By cutting a sheet cake to make the shape of a rocket ship and attaching cupcake filled ice cream cones to the bottom you will create a delicious and appropriate cake to your out of this world party.

If you love to make cake pops you can easily decorate them to look like planets. You can even make them look like the same planets orbiting our own sun, moons, or asteroids with the right icing.

You can set out some easy snacks that the kids can grab and go that are still space themed. Star Bursts and Moon Pies are perfect choices to even stuff the goody bags with also.

If you want to be more artistic with your Moon Pies, I love the idea of actually putting the different phases of the moon on the treats. You would be making the snack educational and possibly teaching the kids something new while they're having fun at the birthday party.

A great idea for goody bags is to make space agent preparation kits. It would be awesome if you can find some dehydrated food I know I've seen it before in museum gift shops.

While Pop Rocks aren't directly related to a spacey theme they still give off that vibe and would be great additions to the preparation kits.
