Kid Friendly St. Patty's Day

Most people tend to think of St. Patrick's Day as a holiday for adults however, it can easily be made into an opportunity for the kids to enjoy too. Here are some sweet treats to celebrate the Irish spirit inside everyone!

Treats to Take Home

These pots of gold are perfect as party favors. Pipe cleaners make awesome rainbows and what is better to represent gold than the always valuable chocolate (in gold wrappers). Paint some tiny Dollar Tree flower pots in black paint to tie together the luck of the Irish. Photo courtesy of The Crafting Chicks.

The kids can also take home these delicious clovers. A few pretzels joined by a Hershey's Kiss and a green M&M can be just the right thing to send off the little ones with. Photo courtesy of VT Pinspiration.

Everything Else Green

If you prefer something a little more animated, these clover cupcakes will not disappoint. Just throw a few strategically placed marbles in the cupcake tins, add some white chocolate chips for eyes, and a few dabs of icing and the kids will go crazy! Photo courtesy of Recipe By Photo.

Fill a cup with green M&M's and a band of brown ones at the top. Add a gold buckle to create the top portion of the hat. Then, place a green sugar cookie on the top of the cup and flip the whole thing over to create the hat. To make the treat a little more stable use icing as glue to connect the cup and cookie. Lemon aid, sparkling white grape juice, and pineapple juice mixed together with smaller chunks of green ice pops make the perfect St. Patrick's Day drink. To add an extra flare, use a shamrock cookie cutter to make green apple slices. Photo courtesy of Recipe By Photo.
